Nearly 1,000 youth union members joined the irrigation work.

(Baonghean.vn)- On July 5, nearly 1,000 youth union members of Nghi Loc district started dredging irrigation canal N9 in Nghi Truong commune and Dong Choang canal in Nghi Khanh commune.

This nearly 10km long canal plays a role in draining water, preventing drought and supplying water for agricultural production for 100 hectares of Nghi Khanh, Nghi Thinh and Nghi Truong communes.

Youth union members of 30 communes and towns in the district were assigned the task of dredging mud, garbage, cleaning the concrete canal bed, and clearing bushes on both sides of the canal.

This is one of the projects of Nghi Loc district Youth Union to welcome the Party Congresses at all levels; demonstrating the pioneering and voluntary role of youth in participating in production development, building new rural areas, contributing to the implementation of political tasks and socio-economic development of the district.
