Nearly 1,500 drivers were checked for health.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of March 18, at Vinh City General Hospital, the Department of Transport in coordination with the Department of Health and the Nghe An Automobile Transport Association organized a health check-up for drivers currently working in Vinh City.

This is the content to implement Official Letter No. 2049/BGTVT-VT of the Ministry of Transport on checking the health of drivers, resolutely not allowing drivers who do not meet health standards to operate vehicles for transport business. The implementation will be carried out before April 30, 2014 in all 21 districts, cities and towns in the whole province.

It is expected that about 1,500 drivers will be examined for their health during this time. Drivers who do not meet the health requirements according to Circular 14/2013/TT-BYT of the Ministry of Health or are found to be using drugs or addicted to other stimulants will be sent a document by the Department of Transport requesting businesses not to sign employment contracts, ensuring absolute safety for the transportation of goods and passengers on the road.
