In 2017, Vinh City was allocated a quota of 150 male citizens for military service and 27 male citizens for police service, assigned to the following units: Naval Brigade 101, Division 968 (Military Region 4), Brigade 80 (Military Region 4), Brigade 283 (Military Region 4), Regiment 764 (Provincial Military Command); Provincial Border Guard; Provincial Police.

In the 2017 military recruitment, Nghe An had 2,900 young people recruited for military service. Of these, there were 2,891 young men, 9 young women, 122 young Catholics, and 623 young people from ethnic minorities. In terms of educational level, 1,079 people graduated from junior high school, 1,625 people graduated from high school, 196 people have intermediate, college and university degrees. 12 new recruits are Party members. |
