(Baonghean.vn) - 5 life insurance contracts and 290 bicycles, along with gifts, were presented to children in special and difficult circumstances in the "Journey of Life" program in 2022, organized by the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs in coordination with the Vietnam Children's Fund and related units and sponsors on the morning of May 11.

Attending the program were: Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha - Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Mr. Dang Hoa Nam - Director of the Department of Child Care, Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; Ms. Le Thi Tuyet Mai - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Children's Fund and Ms. Ngo Thi Phuong Lien - Senior Expert of the Government Office.

On the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Bui Dinh Long -Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Nghe An Provincial Children's Fundwith representatives of relevant departments and branches.

"Journey of Life" is a series of fundraising cycling events maintained and developed by AIA Vietnam in collaboration with the Vietnam Children's Fund, local authorities and Children's Funds of provinces and cities over the past 9 years. The program has awarded more than 18,000 bicycles and hundreds of insurance contracts to disadvantaged students across the country.

In 2022, the Organizing Committee will award 2,700 bicycles and 50 free life insurance contracts along with many meaningful gifts, to motivate poor children to excel in their studies and life.

In the program “Journey of Life” held in Nghe An this year, the Organizing Committee presented 290 bicycles, 5 free life insurance contracts (each contract worth 20 million VND) and gifts to poor children in the province.

Over the past 9 years, the "Journey of Life" program has donated more than 1,600 bicycles and 30 free insurance contracts to poor children in Nghe An.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long thanked the Vietnam Children's Fund and central departments and branches for their practical activities to support Nghe An children in recent times.

Currently, in the province, there are more than 13,000 children in difficult circumstances, more than 120,000 children at risk of falling into special circumstances, 9,000 disabled children who need the joint help of the community and the whole society. Through this program, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that Nghe An province will continue to receive the attention and support of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Vietnam Children's Fund and philanthropists inside and outside the province, sharing, expanding the circle of love, helping children in especially difficult circumstances; in order to bring opportunities for all children in the area to receive better care, develop both physically and mentally, and continue the cause of building and protecting the homeland and the country. The gifts from philanthropists will be directed by the province to be implemented most effectively, providing practical support for poor children in their studies and lives.

Within the framework of the program, a cycling parade took place on some main roads in the city, aiming to propagate the prevention and reduction of traffic accidents and environmental pollution; at the same time calling for the companionship of benefactors, helping children in difficult circumstances in Nghe An province./.
