Nearly 600 people are quarantined at military barracks
As of February 6, military units had received, quarantined and monitored the health of 578 people.
At the meeting of the Ministry of National Defense's Steering Committee for nCoV Prevention and Control on the morning of February 6, the Director of the Military Medical Department, Major General Nguyen Xuan Kien, said that Military Region 1 is quarantining 302 people, Military Region 2 is 136 people, Military Region 3 is 6 people, and Border Guard is 134 people. Viettel alone has 3 people who returned from work, have no fever, and are being quarantined and monitored separately at home. These people eat according to military standards and receive health care according to epidemic prevention regulations.

By the end of January 31, the Border Guard coordinated with the immigration procedures for nearly 152,000 people, detected 26 people with high body temperature, refused entry to 10 foreigners, and sent the rest to quarantine at local hospitals. On February 4 alone, the number of people entering the country was 274, who were quarantined at district medical centers. The Border Guard has increased nearly 1,400 officers and soldiers to border gates to participate in epidemic prevention; quarantined 5 people in Ha Giang, 7 people in Dien Bien, 8 people in Lao Cai, and 8 people in Quang Ninh.
The Military Medical Department is distributing chemicals and protective equipment such as masks, protective clothing, and electronic thermometers to serve epidemic prevention work, first of all for the task of receiving, quarantining, and monitoring Vietnamese citizens returning from China and countries with epidemics; spraying and disinfecting epidemic prevention at units under the Ministry of National Defense in batches; and organizing training on epidemic prevention work.
Lieutenant General Tran Don, Deputy Minister of National Defense, assessed that the army has completed its mission well, helping to stabilize the situation so that people are no longer confused as before, and has been praised by the Government. "Quarantine is a good measure, it must be done to screen and prevent spreading to the community. Those who are quarantined are complying seriously and are guaranteed decent food and accommodation," he said.
Major General Nguyen Van Tin - Deputy Director of Propaganda Department (General Department of Politics) said that in addition to monitoring health and ensuring food and accommodation, the spiritual life of people in quarantine is also being cared for. For example, in Lang Son, the province has supported Battalion 123 and the military school with 20 televisions for people to watch the news.
To date, Vietnam has 10 cases, including 8 imported cases and 2 secondary infections. 3 people have been cured. 57 people are being quarantined and closely monitored. There have been no cases in the military, but 19 cases are being monitored.
