Nearly 65 billion VND to preserve Bac Ninh Quan Ho and Ca Tru
Bac Ninh People's Committee approved the project to preserve and promote the value of intangible cultural heritage of Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs and Ca Tru in the period 2013-2020.
This is also one of the important tasks for Bac Ninh province to continue to fulfill its commitment to UNESCO in protecting Quan Ho folk song heritage. The project will be implemented over 8 years (from 2013 to 2020) with a total investment of nearly 65 billion VND, drawn from the provincial budget.
The project includes 5 sub-projects: teaching Bac Ninh folk songs; investing in the construction and restoration of cultural institutions related to Bac Ninh folk song heritage; promoting the propaganda and promotion of Bac Ninh folk song heritage; collecting and restoring forms of ca tru singing in Bac Ninh province and teaching ca tru singing in the community; supporting the purchase of equipment and supporting the restoration and embellishment of cultural institutions related to ca tru.

To preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh province sets out specific tasks. For Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs, the province prioritizes investment in activities to preserve spaces and cultural institutions associated with the existence and development of original Quan Ho villages; expand forms and methods of teaching; strengthen propaganda and promotion activities, build live stage models to preserve and promote the value of Quan Ho cultural space.
For Ca Tru: the industry organizes inventory, collects and researches heritage, honors artisans, invests in teaching, invests in propaganda, promotion, embellishment and repair of Ca Tru Ancestral Houses...
Since Bac Ninh Quan Ho folk songs became an intangible cultural heritage representing humanity and Ca Tru became an intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection, Bac Ninh province has quickly built and implemented many activities to preserve and promote the value of these intangible cultural heritages.
Up to now, Quan Ho folk songs have increasingly spread strongly, artists are honored and have support policies.
In addition to 45 original quan ho villages, Bac Ninh has developed 329 more quan ho villages... Ca tru has been initially surveyed and inventoried, and the whole province has 4 ca tru clubs that are maintaining their activities./.
