To proactively and effectively prevent the outbreak and spread of white spot disease, Quynh Luu district directed the Department of Agriculture, the veterinary station, and the district agricultural extension station to effectively direct the work of pond renovation, shrimp farming techniques, and disease prevention. Localities with shrimp areas affected by the disease need to coordinate with functional agencies to implement disease prevention and control work, handle shrimp seed batches that do not meet the prescribed quality standards; shrimp pond areas affected by the disease need to treat the water source, not allowing the outbreak to spread widely; synthesize the situation, report to the District People's Committee for timely direction.
For areas under farming, the district requires localities to strengthen propaganda, training, guidance on farming techniques and disease prevention, and environmental disinfection in shrimp farming areas. Direct and assign staff to closely follow the facilities to provide technical guidance, inspect and monitor the farming and disease situation; local authorities need to handle cases of illegal release of shrimp; inspect and control shrimp breeding facilities.
Shrimp farmers must regularly monitor the disease situation and the results of periodic environmental monitoring in farming areas. When shrimp in the pond show unusual signs, or are suspected of being sick, they must immediately report to the local authorities for timely treatment./.
