However, in the current trend of cultural integration and assimilation, folk performing arts of ethnic minorities in general and Mong people in particular are facing the risk of extinction. The issue of preserving, conserving and promoting the traditional musical values ​​of ethnic minorities is becoming urgent.

In 2007, the Department of Culture and Sports advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a Project to Preserve and Promote Folk Performing Arts.ethnic minorityNghe An province. Today's training course is one of the tasks of the approved Project.

Through the training course, the capacity of folk songs, folk music, and folk dance is improved for artisans, clan leaders who are prestigious people in the community, Mong ethnic students, and cultural officials in districts where Mong people live.

The 2023 Folk Performance Training Course for Mong ethnic people in Nghe An province has the participation of nearly 80 students from Ky Son, Tuong Duong and Que Phong districts.
