(Baonghean.vn) –This morning, February 14, under the chairmanship of comrades Tran Hong Chau - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Vo Viet Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission, the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission held a conference to deploy tasks for 2012 and disseminate a number of other important contents. Attending the conference were leaders of the Departments under the Central Inspection Commission.

Last year, the inspection and supervision work of Party committees at all levels was comprehensively implemented according to regulations. The Inspection Committees at all levels in the province promptly advised Party committees at all levels to strengthen leadership, direction, and organization of quality and effective inspection, supervision, and discipline work. Special attention was paid to inspecting and supervising the implementation of Party policies, resolutions, directives, and decisions; the fields of finance, land, and minerals; inspecting Party members and Party organizations with signs of violations... Thanks to that, it contributed to preventing violations from occurring, and at the same time overcoming the weaknesses of 2010. The quality of inspection work has been innovated, improved, and more realistic, meeting the requirements of practical concerns, contributing to consolidating people's trust and establishing discipline in the Party.

Overview of the conference

However, some Party committees have not paid attention to the inspection and supervision program and plan, but are "subcontracting" it to the Inspection Committee at the same level. Some inspections are of low quality and are done superficially. Some officials doing inspection work are afraid of collisions and avoid them. Inspection and supervision work has not been well coordinated between organizations and sectors with inspection and supervision functions, so there is still overlap. The detection and handling of some violations is not timely and synchronous.

Concluding the conference, comrade Tran Hong Chau suggested that Party committees at all levels need to thoroughly grasp the documents, instructions and regulations of the Central Committee on the Party's inspection and supervision work. At the same time, deploy and set out practical tasks at their level, contributing to helping Party committees effectively direct the inspection and supervision work. Strengthen propaganda work, raise awareness for cadres, party members and people to share responsibility in the Party's inspection and supervision work. Link inspection and supervision work with ideological work and organizational work; link leadership and direction of inspection and supervision work to the implementation of resolutions, especially Resolution 3 of the Central Committee (10th tenure) on preventing corruption and waste and Resolution 4 of the Central Committee (11th tenure) on a number of urgent issues on Party building in the current situation...

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee awarded certificates of merit to 11 district, city and town-level Inspection Committees and affiliated Party Committees with achievements in inspection and supervision work in 2011.

In the afternoon, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee focused on disseminating Decision 46 of the Party Central Committee on promulgating instructions and implementing Chapter 7 and Chapter 8 of the Party Charter on inspection and supervision work and Regulation No. 47 of the Party Central Committee on things that Party members are not allowed to do.
