Meeting with agencies and units of the transport sector in the province

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of February 6, the Provincial People's Committee held a spring meeting for the year of the Horse 2014 with central and local agencies and units in the field of transportation located in the province.

Attending the event were comrades: Truong Tan Vien, Deputy Minister of Transport; Nguyen Xuan Duong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Thanh Dien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and departments, branches and units of the transport sector of the Central and local levels.

In 2013, the transport sector in the province has closely followed the assigned tasks, strived to overcome difficulties and achieved many good results. Some construction and completion projects have been of high quality such as route 8B, the route from Cua Tien bridge to Lam riverside road, the road to the center of Bac Ly commune (Ky Son), Chau Thon - Tan Xuan route, the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 1A section through Dien Chau - Quan Hanh has completed 11km and 5 bridges...

In particular, a number of items in the project to preserve and restore Truong Bon relic site and Vinh Airport temporary terminal have been completed... In the past year, traffic safety work has made remarkable progress, the number of accidents, deaths and injuries due to accidents has decreased steadily compared to 2012.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong congratulated and praised the achievements that units operating in the field of transport have achieved in the past time. He hoped that the units would continue to strive and make efforts to overcome difficulties to work with the province to improve the quality and progress of key projects, state management and strengthen the work of ensuring traffic safety and order. The provincial People's Committee will create the most favorable conditions, focusing on removing difficulties for investors when investing in the province.
