Meeting with the authors who won the national journalism award for preventing and combating corruption and negativity

On the morning of November 16, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province organized a meeting with groups of authors and authors who won the 3rd National Press Award for Anti-Corruption and Negativity in 2020 - 2021. Comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, the Nghe An Journalists Association, representatives of press agencies and groups of authors and authors who won the award.

National press award for prevention and controlcorruption, the third negative year 2020 - 2021 has 1,181 works by groups of authors, authors from more than 100 agenciespressCentral and local. The Organizing Committee has selected 45 outstanding works to award prizes.

For Nghe An province, there are 3 award-winning works, including "Many policies, little effectiveness" by a group of authors from Nghe An Radio and Television Station; "Irregularities in implementing support for the O Du ethnic group in Nghe An" by author Trinh Xuan Thong, Vietnam Business Culture Magazine, resident in Nghe An;“Say no to small hydropower projects”by author Ngo Nhat Lan, Nghe An Newspaper.

The 3rd National Anti-Corruption Journalism Award held an award ceremony on the evening of November 13, 2021.

In order to promptly encourage and honor the award-winning author groups and authors, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province organized a meeting with the author groups and authors who won the 3rd National Press Award for Anti-Corruption and Negativity in 2020 - 2021.

At the meeting, representatives of press agencies, groups of authors, authors and representatives of agencies discussed many issues related to the responsibilities of press agencies and the responsibilities of journalists in the fight against corruption, negativity and bad manifestations of society.

Speaking at the meeting, comradeVo Thi Minh Sinh- Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee thanked and acknowledged the contributions of groups of authors, authors and press agencies who accompanied and had award-winning works at the Press Award organized by the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Acknowledging the contributions and spread of the works, comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh also affirmed that the works have made contributions and suggestions in the leadership, direction and administration process of Party committees and authorities at all levels.

The work "Say no to small hydropower projects" by author Ngo Nhat Lan, Nghe An Newspaper with elaborate investigation, comprehensively reflects the current situation and shortcomings of the small hydropower system, thereby contributing to helping the province make adjustments and new policies on the issue of investment and development of small hydropower in the province.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province also affirmed that the Fatherland Front of Nghe An province will always accompany press agencies and journalists in the fight against corruption and negativity; at the same time, he hopes that press agencies and journalists will continue to propagate and encourage the common movement and devote themselves to promptly detecting and fighting against corrupt and negative acts with the motto of "building to fight", "taking the beauty, eliminating the ugliness, taking the positive to push back the negative".
