Meeting with generals, armed forces heroes, and labor heroes from Nghe An in Hanoi
(Baonghean.vn) - On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 30th anniversary of the National Defense Day, on the morning of December 19, the Nghe An Association in Hanoi organized a meeting with generals, armed forces heroes, and labor heroes who are outstanding sons of Nghe An who are living and working in the capital.
Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Sinh Hung -Former member of the Politburo, former Chairman of the National Assembly; Le Doan Hop - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Information and Communications, Chairman of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi; Nguyen Canh Dinh - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Water ResourcesProfit; Ho Xuan Hung - former Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, former Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

More than 40 generals and Heroes of the Armed Forces - Heroes of the Labor Force in the renovation period, representing nearly 70 generals of the military branches and services of the Vietnam People's Army currently working and retired in Hanoi attended the meeting.
Through the resistance wars to save the country and the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, Nghe An province has had 596,000 people participating in the Army through the periods, 45,000 people participating in the Youth Volunteers, 15,000 people participating in the frontline laborers. The province has 6,000 veteran revolutionaries and pre-uprising soldiers. The whole province has 45,000 martyrs, 40,000 wounded soldiers, 1,200 heroic Vietnamese mothers. Notably, up to now, Nghe An has had 130 officers promoted to the rank of general (both Army and Public Security).
Nghe An homeland has outstanding generals such as: General Chu Huy Man, Lieutenant General Hong Son, Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Thuoc, Lieutenant General Do Trinh, Lieutenant General Hoang Kien, Lieutenant General Hoang Nghia Khanh, Major General Hoang Niem, Major General Le Xuan Kien,... and many other generals and heroes.

Nghe An homeland also has many people who have made outstanding achievements and have been honored as Heroes. In the resistance war against France, there were: Cu Chinh Lan, Tran Can, Nguyen Quoc Tri, Dang Dinh Ho...; in the resistance war against America, there were: Ha Minh Tri, Le Van Lam, Nguyen Dinh Kiep, Pham Thanh Tam, Bien Van Thanh... In the Northern border war, there were Vo Dai Hue, Hoang Dan. In the renovation period, there was Nguyen Dang Giap...

Currently in Hanoi city there are about 70 generals from Nghe An living and working.
Although living far from home, the generals always maintain the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, worthy of being children of Nghe An land rich in revolutionary tradition, living exemplary lives, dedicating their whole lives to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
