Meeting with outstanding entrepreneurs on Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day October 13

(Baonghean.vn) -Towards the celebration of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day on October 13, 2013, on the evening of October 11, in Vinh city, the Provincial People's Committee organized a meeting with more than 300 entrepreneurs in the province. The meeting was chaired by members of the Provincial Standing Committee: Le Xuan Dai - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Viet Thanh - Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee; Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

The province currently has 11,162 enterprises, including 3,641 limited liability companies, 4,573 joint stock companies, and 2,948 private enterprises. The activities of enterprises are quite diverse in many fields of production and business, contributing positively to the growth, economic restructuring, job creation for tens of thousands of workers, and social security of the province. In the first 9 months of 2013 alone, the province established 785 new enterprises, an increase of 1.14% over the same period. Among the 100 outstanding entrepreneurs nationwide who were awarded the Thanh Giong Cup in 2013, Nghe An was honored to have 2 entrepreneurs receiving the Nghe An Cup, namely Mr. Truong Van Hien - General Director of Nghe An Agricultural Materials Corporation and Thai Huong - Chairman of the Board of Directors of TH Milk Food Corporation. In addition, Nghe An also has 2 outstanding local businessmen who were awarded Certificates of Merit by the President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Le Xuan Dai praised the contributions of enterprises and businessmen to the socio-economic development of the province in recent times. He hoped that enterprises and businessmen would be proactive in creating, continuing to innovate, applying technical and technological advances; actively expanding the market; building corporate culture, creating healthy competition to help Nghe An enterprises develop more and more, actively participating in social security activities, protecting the environment, contributing to promoting rapid socio-economic growth and sustainable development. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also affirmed: The provincial leaders always accompany enterprises with specific actions such as paying attention to removing difficulties and obstacles for enterprises; investing in building infrastructure, especially infrastructure of industrial parks; improving the quality of human resource training associated with the labor needs of enterprises; reforming administrative procedures; creating the most favorable conditions for enterprises to develop.
