Meeting to commemorate the 49th anniversary of the founding of the 126th Naval Special Forces Brigade.
(Baonghean.vn) - On April 11, 2015, in Vinh City, the Veterans' Association of the 126th Naval Special Forces Brigade in Nghe An - Ha Tinh region held a meeting to celebrate its 49th anniversary (April 13, 1966 - April 13, 2015), in anticipation of the 40th anniversary of the liberation of Southern Vietnam and the reunification of the country.

At the meeting, members and relatives of fallen soldiers from the 126th Naval Special Forces Brigade recalled the unit's glorious traditions. Based on the achievements and combat effectiveness of the previously established Naval Special Forces Teams, on April 13, 1966, the Ministry of National Defense decided to establish the 126th Naval Special Forces Reconnaissance Training Unit.

From its founding until April 30, 1975, the unit provided support to the battlefield with 44 naval commando teams, contributing many victories to the cause of national liberation, and was twice awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces. Notable achievements include victories at Cua Viet (Quang Tri), the battlefield in the Southeast region (Sac Forest), and contributing to the liberation of the Truong Sa archipelago...
