Ghana: Plane crash crushes bus
A cargo plane crashed in Ghana's capital Accra on the evening of June 2, crushing a bus underneath, killing at least 10 people.
The Allied Air Cargo (Nigeria) Boeing 727-200 crashed outside El Wak Stadium, less than 10 km from Kotoka International Airport, while trying to land. Local television showed the plane lying across a road with its tail badly damaged.

The plane was flying from Lagos, Nigeria, to Accra and overshot the runway at around 7:10 p.m. local time on June 2. According to the CEO of the Ghanaian airline, Doreen Owusu Fianko, four crew members survived and are being treated at the airport hospital.
Passengers on the crashed bus were not so lucky, with at least 10 confirmed dead, including one woman and nine men. According to witnesses, there were about 27 passengers on the bus. Meanwhile, Xinhua quoted an unnamed soldier as saying that there were 24 passengers and all died inside the crushed bus.
The cause of the plane crash is unknown, only the weather at that time is known.
