At the end of yesterday's trading session, the metal market was filled with green, with most commodities increasing in price. The precious metals group recorded a strong recovery, in which silver prices increased slightly by 0.34%, reaching 30.7 USD/ounce when the market closed.
Silver prices have broken through $30 an ounce, hitting their highest in nearly three weeks, helped by a general rally in metals, but gains were capped by a stronger dollar after upbeat US jobs data raised the possibility that the Fed could slow the pace of interest rate cuts.
The report showed that in November, the number of jobs in the US unexpectedly increased by 259,000, bringing the total number of jobs to 8.098 million at the end of the month, although the pace of hiring slowed.
