Today's domestic coffee price, December 14, is at 122,700 - 124,200 VND/kg. Coffee prices have increased again from 700 to 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Specifically, today's coffee price in Dak Lak increased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 124,000 VND/kg.

Coffee prices today in Lam Dong also increased by 700 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 122,700 VND/kg.

Similarly, today's coffee price in Gia Lai increased by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 124,000 VND/kg.

Coffee prices today in Dak Nong remain at their highest level, up 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday, reaching 124,200 VND/kg.

In Vietnam, the world’s top robusta producer, unseasonal rains have returned, disrupting the harvest. The situation is raising new concerns about the quality of coffee beans, putting pressure on the supply market.

Since robusta and arabica are somewhat interchangeable, a shortage of one variety can increase demand for the other, adding to the volatility of the global coffee market.

World coffee prices today

At the end of the most recent trading session, the price of Robusta coffee in London for November 2024 delivery decreased by 56 USD/ton compared to yesterday, at 5,138 USD/ton, and for January 2025 delivery decreased by 32 USD/ton compared to yesterday, at 5,120 USD/ton.

Arabica coffee prices for December 2024 delivery decreased by 3.90 cents/lb compared to yesterday, at 317.35 cents/lb, and for March 2025 delivery decreased by 4.05 cents/lb compared to yesterday, at 314.95 cents/lb.

Coffee exports from South America increased by 12.4% in October to 6.7 million bags, breaking the previous record of 6.6 million bags in November 2020. Brazil led the region with a 13.2% increase in exports to a record of more than 4.9 million bags.

Colombia also contributed significantly with a 15% increase in exports, reaching more than 1 million bags. This was mainly due to Colombia's coffee production in October increasing by 15.7%, reaching more than 1.3 million bags.

In Central America and Mexico, coffee exports in October increased by 8.8% to 0.5 million bags. Mexico alone recorded a sharp increase of 27.2% to 0.24 million bags. However, Guatemala saw a significant decline, with exports down 27.8% to 87,100 bags.

Coffee exports from the African region increased by an impressive 31.9% in October, reaching over 1.4 million bags. Ethiopia was the main contributor to this growth, with an increase of 62.4%, reaching 0.6 million bags. Notably, this was the 11th consecutive month that Ethiopia recorded export growth, marking an important milestone.
