After a week of strong increases, coffee prices on the world market yesterday fell slightly on both the London and New York exchanges. The reason is that the European Parliament delayed the application of the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) for another 12 months.
Coffee prices stabilized today thanks to favorable weather in Brazil. According to Somar Meterologia, rainfall in Minas Gerais, Brazil's largest Arabica coffee growing region, reached 60.9 mm last week, 127% above average.
Rabobank said coffee prices were also affected by uncertainty around the EUDR and the possibility of the US imposing tariffs on coffee.
