Domestic coffee prices today, May 7, 2025, in the Central Highlands region remained unchanged compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 128,200 - 128,700 VND/kg.
Accordingly, traders in Dak Nong province are purchasing coffee at the highest price of 128,700 VND/kg. No change compared to yesterday.
Similarly, coffee price in Dak Lak province is 128,500 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday.
Coffee prices in Gia Lai province remained unchanged and were traded at 128,500 VND/kg.
In Lam Dong province, coffee prices remained unchanged at VND128,200/kg.

Earlier this week, domestic coffee prices suddenly dropped sharply, losing an average of about VND1,300/kg to only VND128,600/kg. This decline has many farmers worried that the 2024 scenario will repeat itself, when prices peaked at VND134,400/kg at the end of April but then fell to only VND90,000/kg in May, and only recovered in November.
Despite fluctuations in domestic prices, coffee exports in the first four months of 2025 still achieved impressive results. According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, coffee export turnover reached 3.78 billion USD, up more than 51% over the same period, mainly due to a sharp increase in selling prices. The average export price reached 5,698 USD/ton, up 67.5% over last year, including roasted and instant coffee.
Vietnam’s robusta coffee exports have been lower in the first quarter of 2025, which is supporting robusta prices at the moment. Vietnam’s General Department of Customs reported that Vietnam’s coffee exports in the first quarter of 2025 decreased by 15.3% year-on-year to 495,780 tonnes.
World coffee prices today
World coffee prices increased slightly on both exchanges:
Robusta Coffee (London):
Delivery in July 2025: Up 35 USD/ton, to 5326 USD/ton.
Delivery in September 2025: Up 38 USD/ton, to 5269 USD/ton.
Arabica Coffee (New York):
July 2025 Delivery: Up 3.7 cents/lb, to 391.95 cents/lb.
September 2025 delivery: Up 3.7 cents/lb, to 385.5 cents/lb.
In the international market, Arabica coffee prices have recovered slightly after hitting rock bottom in more than a week. The reason is that rainfall in Brazil's largest coffee growing region, Minas Gerais state, was much lower than average, reaching only 1.5 mm in the week ending April 26, equivalent to 21% of the historical rainfall. This stimulated short-covering activities in the futures market.
The market is now focused on the coffee harvest in Brazil, the world’s largest producer. Robusta has started harvesting early in some areas, while arabica will enter the season in May or June.
However, the price increase may be limited by slowing consumer demand. Two major US companies, Starbucks and Keurig Dr Pepper, both reported a decline in coffee sales in the first quarter, partly due to higher prices affecting consumers' purchasing decisions.
