By pretending to be a land buyer, Tinh entered a house and stole over 860 million VND and nearly 3.5 taels of 18K and 24K gold.

This morning, July 9, the police agency announced that the Investigation Police had just temporarily detained Nguyen Huu Tinh, 25 years old, residing in Nghi Xuan district, Ha Tinh province for the act of property theft.

Although he had a previous conviction for theft that had not been expunged, Tinh returned to his old ways. Tinh confessed that because he had just been released from prison and had no job, in November 2017, Tinh left his hometown in Ha Tinh to go to Phu Quoc to find a living.

If there were people at a house, Tinh pretended to ask them to buy the land to get it over with and then left. On the contrary, if there was no one guarding the house, he broke in to steal property.

Using this trick, on May 5, Tinh entered a household in Da Chong hamlet, Bai Thom commune and stole over 860 million VND, nearly 3.5 taels of 18K and 24K gold, but was later discovered and arrested by Phu Quoc police.
