Impersonating police to scam

(Baonghean) -At 0:40 on November 12, while on patrol duty on Nguyen Van Cu Street (Vinh City), special task force No. 2 discovered a group of people gathering with many suspicious signs.

About a month ago, Ms. Doan Thi Van (born in 1993), from Hung Linh, Hung Nguyen district, rented a room in Yen Phuc A block, Hung Binh ward, and met a person who claimed to be named Tuan, currently working at a police unit. After Ms. Van accepted her love, on November 11, Tuan gave the reason that he had something to do in his hometown so he borrowed Ms. Van's Yamaha Sirius motorbike and all the papers. After borrowing the motorbike, Tuan turned off his phone. Therefore, Ms. Van and her friend took a taxi to Tuan's hometown in Do Luong to look for him. At this time, Van met a girl from the same hometown and it was this girl who told Van about Tuan's true face as a professional scammer.

Subjects and evidence of fraud

Immediately afterwards, the subject was transferred to Hung Binh Ward Police (Vinh City) for investigation and clarification. Here, Tuan stated his real name was Bui Van Binh, born in 1986, living in Hamlet 12, Trang Son Commune (Do Luong). Binh confessed that the entire uniform including pants, belt and handcuffs were lent by a friend who was working at a police unit in Vinh City.

Currently, Hung Binh Ward Police are waiting for instructions from Vinh City Police to continue investigating and clarifying.
