Pretending to be a family member, asking to take an elementary school student to see his father for the last time

The incident happened on the morning of September 21 at Doi Can 1 Primary School, Thai Nguyen City. At that time, the homeroom teacher received a phone call from a person claiming to be the aunt of a 5th grade student, saying that the child's father had a serious accident and asked her to take him home to see him one last time.

The teacher couldn’t reach the student’s family by phone, so she quickly took her motorbike to take the student home. However, when they got there, everyone discovered that nothing had happened.

The school representative suspected that the caller was a debtor of the student’s family. Recently, the school has been repeatedly visited by groups of people with unknown identities who sent ambulances and placed gas cylinders, food, and drinks, then used the principal’s phone number as the recipient.

It's not just recently that strangers have been calling teachers to ask them to help them take their children home.

In Hanoi, on September 29, a strange phone number called the homeroom teacher of class 2A1 at Phan Dinh Giot Primary School in Thanh Xuan District, claiming to be the student’s parent, asking for the student to go home early. When discovered, this person said he was the student’s family’s creditor and repeatedly called to threaten and demand that the teacher comply.
