Family of 6 killed in fire in Hai Phong
A fire broke out at 3am this morning at a two-and-a-half-story house in lane 136, Nguyen Duc Canh street (Le Chan district, Hai Phong), killing six people including grandparents, husband, wife and two children.

According to Ms. Thuy, a vendor in alley 136, at 3:00 a.m., she woke up to prepare goods to sell in the morning when she discovered a fire breaking out at house number 14 of Mr. Dieu's family.
Ms. Thuy called her neighbors to break the lock of the house to rescue everyone. The fire spread strongly from the first floor to the second floor of the house. Neighbors outside heard the family's cries for help inside but could not do anything.

A sudden explosion rang out, the fire spread to the Cat Dai ward police station behind. By the time the fire brigade had controlled the fire, all six family members, including Mr. and Mrs. Dieu, their son and his wife, and two grandchildren, had died.
According to the scene, the house on fire was located in a small alley, surrounded by high-rise buildings. All the property on the first floor, including 2 motorbikes, was burned down. Fire police said that the balcony on the second floor of the house was sealed like a tiger cage, so the victims could not escape.
