The Seafood Market (Cua Lo) these days is always bustling with buyers and sellers. The most consumed items during this period are fresh seafood: squid, crab, shrimp, clams... Along with the sudden increase in the number of visitors, the purchasing power of people and tourists has increased, so the prices have also increased quite high. Crabs are sold for 500-600 thousand VND/kg, 10 shrimp/kg for 600-700 thousand VND/kg, squid for 250-300 thousand VND/kg; fish, clams, snails have all increased in price.



Tourists come to Cua Lo beach to swim

At Thuy Hieu, there are many tourists, mainly from Hanoi and the northern provinces. The staff here said that the number of tourists coming to Cua Lo beach for the opening season and holidays has increased sharply, so the amount of seafood ordered by the restaurant has increased quite a lot, 40-50%, even some types have increased by 100%. Therefore, the prices for tourists cannot be cheaper.

According to the reporter's observation, not only on the occasion of April 30 - May 1, but also before that, on the Hung King's death anniversary, the weather was warm and sunny, so there were quite a lot of tourists coming to Cua Lo beach and the prices of seafood products increased quite high, from 20-50% compared to normal days.

And not only in Cua Lo, at Cua Hoi eco-tourism area, this year there are also many visitors coming to rest, and prices have also increased. Mr. Tuan in Hung Phuc said that his family often goes to Cua Hoi to eat and relax on weekends because it is closer and the prices are also cheaper than in Cua Lo. However, on April 29, many stalls here also quoted very high prices. Many stalls also provide services based on the weight and price, not selling at a reasonable price like before.

The question of the customer was answered by the owner Ly Quang: Although we have prepared quite well, the purchasing power during the holiday increased so much that there was a shortage of goods. We had a hard time buying crabs and squid to serve customers today.

To ensure a successful tourist season, Cua Lo needs to pay more attention to price management of goods and services to best serve the people and tourists. Price posting needs to be adjusted, and a hotline should be established to ensure price management.
