Pig price in the North

Pig prices in the Northern region currently have no new fluctuations, fluctuating between 64,000 - 66,000 VND/kg.

The lowest price of 64,000 VND/kg was recorded in Lao Cai and Ninh Binh provinces.

Yen Bai, Nam Dinh, Thai Nguyen, Thai Binh and Ha Nam provinces have prices higher than 65,000 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, other provinces still keep the price of live pigs at 66,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in Central Highlands

In the Central Highlands market, the price of live pigs today is still stable, ranging from 61,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.

Of which, Quang Tri, Binh Dinh and Dak Lak continue to be the provinces with the lowest prices at 61,000 VND/kg.

In other provinces, traders buy live pigs at prices ranging from 62,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.

Faced with the complicated developments of African swine fever, the People's Committee of Nghe An province has just issued Directive No. 28/CT-UBND on strictly implementing measures to prevent and control African swine fever.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of districts, cities and towns to report and receive instructions from the Standing Committees of the District Party Committee, City Party Committee and Town Party Committee to deploy drastic and effective measures to combat African swine fever.

Local resources need to be mobilized to thoroughly handle outbreaks, prevent the emergence of new outbreaks, and properly destroy sick or suspected pigs.

It is necessary to seriously implement support policies for farmers affected by the epidemic, targeting the right people, publicly, transparently, ensuring fairness, and only supporting pigs that have been fully vaccinated.

Farmers need to be guided to improve hygiene and disinfection of barns, apply biosecurity in livestock farming, and build disease-free livestock facilities.

It is necessary to review and accurately count the number of pigs and hogs vaccinated against African swine fever, at the same time widely disseminate information about the risks and measures to prevent the disease, and provide instructions on vaccination according to regulations.

Pig price in the South

In the Southern market, the price of live pigs remained unchanged, following the market trend, fluctuating between 61,000 - 64,000 VND/kg.

Recorded in Tay Ninh, Hau Giang and Ca Mau, the highest price is 64,000 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, Dong Thap and Vinh Long still maintain the lowest price in the region at 61,000 VND/kg.

Other provinces have no price change compared to yesterday morning.
