Pig price in the North

On August 9, 2024, the price of live pigs in the North was stable, commonly from 64,000 to 66,000 VND/kg.

In the provinces of Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Bac Giang, and Hung Yen, the purchase price reached the highest level in the region, 66,000 VND/kg.

Lao Cai and Ninh Binh have the lowest purchase price, at 64,000 VND/kg.

The general price for other localities in the region is 65,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in Central Highlands

Pig prices in this area today decreased slightly by VND 1,000/kg, with a trading range of VND 61,000 to VND 64,000/kg.

Binh Thuan, along with Ninh Thuan, Quang Ngai, Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue, all have stable pork purchase prices at 62,000 VND/kg.

The highest price was recorded in Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh and Lam Dong with a purchase price of 64,000 VND/kg.

On the contrary, the lowest price belongs to Quang Tri, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces, with the purchase price of live pigs being 61,000 VND/kg.

Other provinces are maintaining the purchase price of live pigs at 63,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in the South

In the Southern region, the price of live pigs today witnessed a slight decrease, with a decrease of about 1,000 VND in some localities, and is currently at 61,000 to 64,000 VND/kg.

Traders in Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, An Giang and Tien Giang are all buying live pigs at VND63,000/kg, which is equivalent to the purchase price in Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho, Kien Giang, Tra Vinh and Soc Trang after the price has been adjusted down.

The highest live pig purchase price was recorded in Tay Ninh, Vung Tau, Long An, Hau Giang and Ca Mau, at 64,000 VND/kg.

On the contrary, in Vinh Long, the price of live pigs is the lowest in the region, at 61,000 VND/kg.

Other areas have stable pork prices at 62,000 VND/kg.
