The disease has broken out strongly in recent months, especially since the beginning of October, causing pigs to be infected in 5/5 hamlets in the commune. Up to now, about 500 pigs have been destroyed, with a total weight of more than 20 tons.
Mr. Cao Thanh Luong, Chairman of Vinh Son Commune People’s Committee, said the situation became serious due to the impact of recent storms and rains, which flooded ponds and barns. This made it easy for the disease to spread from household to household and from hamlet to hamlet.
