Pig price in the North
In the North, the price of live pigs is currently quite stable.
Transaction prices are mainly between 64,000 and 66,000 VND/kg.
Most traders buy at an average price of 65,000 VND/kg.
Thai Nguyen province has a slight price increase of about 1,000 VND/kg, raising the price to 66,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in Central Highlands region
Pig prices in the Central and Central Highlands provinces have increased slightly, currently fluctuating from 62,000 to 65,000 VND/kg.
In Binh Dinh, the price of live pigs is currently 62,000 VND/kg, similar to that in Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak and Ninh Thuan.
Other regions in the Central Highlands keep prices stable and unchanged.
Pig price in the Southern region
The price of live pigs in the South has increased slightly, about 1,000 VND/kg.
This price currently ranges from 62,000 to 65,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, in Dong Thap, the purchase price is 64,000 VND/kg, while in Vung Tau it is 65,000 VND/kg.
In other localities in the South, the price of live pigs remains unchanged.
The average price of live pigs nationwide is 63,600 VND/kg.
Pig farmers expect pig prices to continue to rise in the near future. Due to the upcoming long holiday, demand for pork is expected to increase.
However, disease remains a major challenge for the livestock industry. Recently, African swine fever was detected in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province.
In Ho Chi Minh City, prices of popular meat products are as follows:
- Pork belly: 136,000 VND/kg
- Baby back ribs: 164,000 VND/kg
- Old ribs: 105,000 VND/kg
- Shoulder and thigh: 103,000 VND/kg each.
