Accordingly, currently, Hanoi is the only locality that still maintains transactions at 69,000 VND/kg, the highest in the country. In the remaining provinces and cities in the region, traders are purchasing live pigs at around 67,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.

Pig prices in many provinces in the Central Highlands region also increased slightly last week.
Currently, live pigs in this area are being sold for around 65,000 - 68,000 VND/kg. Of which, Thanh Hoa and Lam Dong are the two provinces with the highest live pig prices in the region, reaching 68,000 VND/kg.

In general, the price of live pigs increased rapidly in the first sessions of the week and gradually cooled down in some northern provinces during the weekend. Currently, the price of live pigs nationwide is fluctuating from 64,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.
According to Thai Nguyen Newspaper, Phu Luong district, Thai Nguyen province has increased by 63 farms compared to 2020, with the total herd of livestock and poultry increasing by 617,600 heads. The output of fresh meat for slaughter reached 16,600 tons, an increase of 6.4 tons compared to 2020.
However, chain-based livestock farming is still limited, with only one chain and many farms without a synchronous waste treatment system, causing environmental pollution. Therefore, Phu Luong district will continue to promote propaganda and mobilize people to practice biosafety livestock farming, minimizing environmental pollution.
