Pig price in the Northern region

In the North, the price of live pigs today, September 3, 2024, is stable and fluctuates from 64,000 to 67,000 VND/kg.

In Lao Cai and Ninh Binh, the purchase price of live pigs is 64,000 VND/kg, the lowest price in the region.

On the contrary, in Hanoi, the price of live pigs is the highest in the region, at 67,000 VND/kg.

Other provinces in the North have live pig prices ranging from 65,000 to 66,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in the Central Highlands region

Pig prices in the Central Highlands region today did not change much, ranging from 62,000 to 65,000 VND/kg.

In the provinces of Quang Tri, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak and Ninh Thuan, the purchase price is 62,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the region.

On the contrary, in Thanh Hoa, the highest purchase price was 65,000 VND/kg.

Other provinces are purchasing at prices ranging from 63,000 to 64,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in the Southern region

In the Southern region, the price of live pigs today did not change much, ranging from 61,000 to 64,000 VND/kg.

In Ben Tre, the purchase price of live pigs is 61,000 VND/kg, this is the lowest price in the region.

In contrast, traders in Vung Tau, Binh Duong, An Giang, Can Tho and Ca Mau are buying at the highest price of VND64,000/kg.

Other provinces and cities have live pig prices ranging from 62,000 to 63,000 VND/kg.

Overall, pig prices are stable today, ranging from 61,000 to 67,000 VND/kg in different provinces and cities.

Vietnam ranks 5th in the world in terms of pig population and 6th in pork production.

In the first eight months of 2024, Vietnam spent more than $1 billion importing meat and meat products. Compared to the previous year, the cost of meat imports increased by 20.3% to nearly $1.08 billion.
