In the North, the current price of live pigs has been adjusted inconsistently, ranging from 64,000 to 67,000 VND per kilogram.

In Ha Nam, the price of live pigs has decreased by 1,000 VND, currently at 65,000 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, in Hanoi, the price increased by 1,000 VND, reaching the highest level in the region, 67,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in Central Highlands - Central region today August 29, 2024

In Thua Thien Hue province, the price of live pigs increased by VND1,000 per kilogram, reaching VND63,000/kg.

Other provinces in the Central and Central Highlands regions kept prices stable, unchanged from yesterday.

The current purchase price of live pigs in the Central and Central Highlands ranges from 62,000 to 65,000 VND/kg.

Pig price in the South today August 29, 2024

Pig prices in the South are currently unstable, ranging from 61,000 to 65,000 VND per kilogram.

Specifically, in Ben Tre, the price of live pigs has dropped to 61,000 VND/kg after a decrease of 1,000 VND.

On the contrary, in Binh Duong, the price of live pigs increased to 64,000 VND/kg, 1,000 VND higher than the previous day.

The Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine emphasized the importance of ensuring disease safety at livestock farms to stabilize the disease situation and develop sustainable livestock farming.

Building disease-free livestock facilities and areas helps control diseases, develop the livestock industry, meet consumer demand and provide safe products to the market.

According to the World Organization for Animal Health, establishing safe livestock areas is a necessary condition for meat exports, contributing to sustainable livestock development, especially in the context of epidemics such as African swine fever.
