Rice price today August 6: Domestic rice market on August 6 increased from 50 to 150 VND/kg for some specific types of rice.
In the Mekong Delta region, rice prices on August 6 witnessed a slight increase for some types of rice.
The price of IR 504 Summer-Autumn raw rice currently fluctuates from 11,150 - 11,300 VND/kg, an increase of 100 - 150 VND compared to the previous day.
The price of finished rice IR 504 reached 13,250 - 13,400 VND/kg, a slight increase of 50 - 100 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, at retail markets, rice prices remained unchanged, with Nang Nhen rice having the highest price of 30,000 VND/kg.
Other types of rice such as Jasmine, Nang Hoa, and regular rice cost from 15,000 to 21,000 VND/kg, depending on the type and quality.
Fragrant rice from Taiwan and Japanese rice cost VND21,000/kg and VND22,000/kg respectively.
Local rice markets today saw low supplies, but prices remained stable and buying activity was slow.
In An Cu (Soc Trang), rice supply is stable but quality is not high, price remains unchanged and demand decreases.
In An Giang, high-quality rice is scarce, prices are stable and purchase volume is quite good.
Sa Dec (Dong Thap) recorded a slight increase in prices, while supply decreased.

The rice market has recently shown price stability, with limited supply and farmers offering slightly higher prices.
In Can Tho, the price of autumn-winter rice is maintained stable by farmers, while in Soc Trang, demand from traders remains high.
The latest report from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province said that today's rice prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday, with IR 50404 fluctuating from 6,900 - 7,000 VND/kg.
Other rice varieties such as Dai Thom 8, OM 5451, and OM 18 also have stable prices, at 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg, 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg, and 7,500 - 7,700 VND/kg, respectively.
OM 380 rice and Japanese rice are affordable, while Nang Hoa 9 rice and Nang Nhen rice (dry) are priced at VND6,900 - 7,000/kg and VND20,000/kg, respectively.
Glutinous rice prices did not fluctuate today, with the price of dried Long An sticky rice remaining at 7,000 - 7,900 VND/kg.
The prices of fresh IR 4625 sticky rice and fresh Long An sticky rice also remain the same, at 7,200 - 7,400 VND/kg and 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg, respectively.
Fresh An Giang sticky rice continues to be sold at unchanged prices, from 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg, reflecting market stability.
Meanwhile, rice by-products such as broken rice OM 5451 recorded a slight increase, with the current price at 9,100 - 9,300 VND/kg, an increase of 100 VND compared to yesterday.
The price of dry bran remains stable at 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg, unchanged from the previous day.

Vietnam's rice export prices are currently stable, unchanged from the previous day, according to data from the Vietnam Food Association (VFA).
Specifically, 100% broken rice is listed at 435 USD/ton, while 5% broken standard rice is priced at 559 USD/ton.
For 25% broken rice, the price was reported at $524 per tonne.
