Durian price today June 14, 2025: Domestic durian price is stable with Ri6 durian, Thai durian and Musang King slightly decreased due to fruit quality being affected by rainy weather.

Durian price in the Mekong Delta:

Musang King type A fluctuates from 110,000 - 125,000 VND/kg, a slight decrease compared to the beginning of the week.

Dak Lak: Tightening control of durian growing areas and packaging facilities for export

Dak Lak province currently has 266 durian growing areas with a total area of nearly 7,400 hectares out of a total of 22,600 hectares, accounting for about 33% of the harvested area. Regarding fresh fruit packaging facilities, 39 units have been granted export codes by China. For frozen durian alone, there are currently 11 facilities in the area approved by the General Administration of Customs of China for export codes.

Through actual monitoring, most of the growing areas and packaging facilities have complied with the requirements set by China such as: establishing production processes, monitoring pests, and recording cultivation logs. However, there are still some households that have not maintained technical standards well, such as not fully controlling key quarantine pests (mealybugs, fruit flies), lacking areas for storing used pesticide packaging, and incomplete logs. As a result, some shipments from growing areas with codes still violated plant quarantine when exported.

In the context of the Vietnamese durian industry developing rapidly and asserting its position on the global export map, requirements from the international market are also increasingly strict, especially regarding food safety, chemical control and traceability.

Therefore, raising awareness among the actors in the durian value chain is an urgent requirement. It is necessary to tighten control of chemicals and heavy metals, proactively say no to banned substances in agriculture, and ensure that each garden strictly controls itself before the product leaves the garden, in order to maintain prestige and expand the export market share for this strategic industry.
