Experts say that the pepper market is currently quite quiet. In the short term, pepper prices will likely continue to be under downward pressure due to the fact that supply and demand are not really balanced.
Vietnam’s export prospects and pepper prices in the coming time depend largely on the balance of supply and demand. Currently, output is on a downward trend, while many farmers choose to keep their products instead of selling, creating an advantage for sellers when negotiating prices.
However, domestic pepper prices have recently fallen sharply due to weak demand, while supply remains abundant. In addition, negotiations on tariff policies have not yet achieved clear results, leading to a wait-and-see and cautious market sentiment. However, in the long term, the pepper industry is still expected to recover thanks to increased exports and investment in deep processing to increase product value.
