Pepper price today, August 16, 2024, is in the range of 138,000-139,000 VND/kg, down slightly by 1,000 VND compared to yesterday. The highest buying price in Dak Nong, Gia Lai and Dak Lak is 139,000 VND/kg.
Domestic pepper price on August 16, 2024
Specifically, Dak Lak pepper price was purchased at 139,000 VND/kg, a slight decrease of 1,000 VND compared to yesterday. Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) was purchased at 139,000 VND/kg, a slight decrease of 1,000 VND compared to yesterday. Dak Nong pepper price today was recorded at 139,000 VND/kg, a slight decrease of 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.
In the Southeast region, pepper prices today decreased slightly by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, it is currently at 138,500 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday; in Binh Phuoc, pepper prices today are at 138,000 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Thus, pepper price today, August 16, decreased slightly by 1,000 VND/kg in some localities in key growing areas, recording the highest price of 139,000 VND, fluctuating in the price range of 138,000 - 139,000 VND/kg.

In June 2024, pepper prices reached an 8-year high of VND180,000/kg. Currently, pepper prices have dropped to around VND140,000/kg. It is expected that after Tet in February 2025, the new pepper harvest will begin with an output slightly higher than the previous crop's 170,000 tons.
Vietnam currently has about 30% of its pepper inventory, equivalent to 50,000 - 55,000 tons. According to VPSA, the output of the next pepper crop is likely to be equal to or higher than that of 2024.
The amount of pepper left in stock among the people is not much, and although pests and diseases still exist, they are not too serious. People have had effective measures to deal with common diseases in pepper plants such as yellow leaf disease, slow death, net bugs, algae spots and nematodes.
World pepper price today
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,424 USD/ton, and the price of Muntok white pepper at 8,741 USD/ton.
The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper was stable at USD 6,175/ton. The price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper remained stable at USD 8,500/ton; the price of this country's ASTA white pepper reached USD 10,400/ton.
Vietnam's black pepper price remains at a high level of 5,800 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l at 6,200 USD/ton; white pepper price at 8,500 USD/ton.
To support Vietnamese agencies, organizations and businesses to update information on green exports and understand new EU laws and regulations such as CBAM and EUDR.
The aim is to help them plan and implement the necessary measures to adjust their export production activities. This will help maintain and develop the export market appropriately and effectively in the new situation.
The meeting will be organized by the Trade Promotion Agency (under the Ministry of Industry and Trade) in coordination with relevant agencies.

– Overview of regulations to reduce deforestation and forest degradation (EUDR).
– Issues that Vietnamese export enterprises need to pay attention to in order to comply with CBAM and EUDR.
– Sharing experiences on CBAM/EUDR implementation.
