According to a report from Ptexim, this year’s pepper harvest season has officially begun in some areas such as Dak Nong, Binh Phuoc… However, the harvest progress is still slow. The harvest season in 2025 is forecast to last longer, with the main harvest expected to take place in late March or early April.
Despite high prices, experts recommend that farmers should not expand acreage indiscriminately but should focus on quality, sustainable farming and cooperate with businesses to stabilize output.
The Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association (VPSA) assesses the global pepper market in 2025 to be positive due to a decrease in supply due to harsh weather. Exports to China may increase when Vietnam enters the main harvest season, although the amount of pepper exported to this country in 2024 will be limited.
Meanwhile, the US and Germany remain the two largest import markets, with output of 2,829 tons and 1,326 tons, respectively.
