Pepper price today September 4, 2024 is in the range of 151,500-152,000 VND/kg, pepper price continues to increase sharply by 1,500 to 2,000 VND/kg in the Central Highlands provinces.

Specifically, Dak Lak pepper price was purchased at 152,000 VND/kg, a sharp increase of 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Chu Se pepper price (Gia Lai) was purchased at 151,500 VND/kg, an increase of 1,500 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Dak Nong pepper price today was recorded at 152,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper prices today increased sharply by 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. Specifically, in Ba Ria - Vung Tau, it is currently at 151,500 VND/kg, an increase of 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday; in Binh Phuoc, pepper prices today are at 152,000 VND/kg, an increase of 2,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

In June, the US imported 8,177 tons of pepper, recording an impressive increase of 47.7% compared to the same period last year. This is the sixth consecutive month that US pepper imports have increased compared to last year.
In the first half of the year, the US imported a total of 45,663 tons of pepper, worth US$215.8 million. Compared to the same period last year, the import volume increased by 35.7% and the value increased by 38.7%.
Vietnam continued to be the largest pepper supplier to the US in the first 6 months of the year, accounting for 76% of total imports. With 34,914 tons, worth 161.5 million USD, Vietnam recorded an increase of 31.1% in volume and 37.1% in value compared to last year. While pepper export prices from other countries decreased, pepper prices from Vietnam increased by 4.5%, reaching an average of 4,625 USD/ton, higher than Brazil but lower than India and Indonesia.
World pepper price today
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC), at the end of the most recent trading session, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,498 USD/ton, and the price of Muntok white pepper at 8,829 USD/ton.
The price of Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper was at USD 7,000/ton. The price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper remained stable at USD 8,500/ton; the price of this country's ASTA white pepper reached USD 10,400/ton.
Vietnam's black pepper prices are stable at a high level, trading at 6,100 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 6,200 USD/ton for 550 g/l; and 8,800 USD/ton for white pepper.
This year, Cambodian farmers are in a state of both joy and worry as pepper prices have increased but production has decreased. A report from the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce said that in the first 6 months of 2024, the country's pepper exports reached 25 million USD, an impressive growth of 219% compared to the same period last year.
Mr. Mak Ny, Chairman of CPSF, announced that pepper prices have increased sharply since the beginning of the year, reaching 6,000 USD/ton, 3,000 USD/ton higher than last year.
The federation is working to find out the cause of the decline in pepper cultivation, which has dropped by 50% as of July. The decline could be due to bad weather, pests, or disease, and could affect Cambodia’s future pepper exports, especially to the Vietnamese market, the largest importer of pepper from Cambodia.
