Pepper prices today in some key growing areas remain unchanged compared to yesterday. Thereby, maintaining the domestic pepper price level at 153,000 VND/kg to 155,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region, pepper price today in Dak Lak is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 155,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Gia Lai is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 153,000 VND/kg.
Pepper price today in Dak Nong is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 155,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast region, pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau today are at 154,000 VND/kg, unchanged from yesterday. Dong Nai is unchanged from yesterday at 154,000 VND/kg.
In addition, pepper price today in Binh Phuoc is unchanged compared to yesterday, currently at 154,000 VND/kg.

Pepper prices last week were under pressure from the new harvest and concerns about high reciprocal taxes from the US. Overall, domestic pepper prices fell sharply by 5,000 to 6,000 VND/kg over the past week compared to the previous week.
Specifically, pepper prices in Gia Lai decreased by 6,000 VND/kg last week. Also in the Central Highlands, pepper prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces both decreased by 5,000 VND/kg.
Similarly, pepper prices in the provinces of the Southeast region including Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai all decreased by 5,000 VND/kg compared to last week.
The American Spice Association (ASTA) is calling on the US government to reconsider its new tariffs on imported spices. Experts warn that if supplies from major producers such as Indonesia, Vietnam and Brazil do not improve soon, the global market could fall into a prolonged shortage.
In Vietnam, according to data from the Pepper and Spice Association, by the end of March 2025, the total amount of imported pepper reached 9,686 tons. Of which, black pepper accounted for 6,541 tons and white pepper was 3,145 tons, with a total turnover of up to 55.7 million USD. Compared to the same period last year, import volume increased by 21.3% and import value nearly doubled with an increase of 88.8%.
The pepper market has been volatile over the past week, causing investors and pepper growers to become worried. However, the positive point is that pepper prices have recovered at the end of the week. If this trend continues, domestic pepper prices may remain stable or increase slightly in the coming time.

In the world market, based on quotes from export enterprises and export prices in various countries, the International Pepper Association (IPC) updated the prices of all types of pepper traded in the international market on April 6 (local time) as follows:
Indonesia's Lampung black pepper prices remained unchanged from yesterday at $7,239 per ton. Meanwhile, Muntok white pepper prices remained stable from yesterday at $10,066 per ton.
Brazilian black pepper ASTA 570 price remained unchanged from yesterday at USD 6,950/ton.
Malaysia’s ASTA black pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at $9,850/ton. Meanwhile, the country’s ASTA white pepper price also remained unchanged from yesterday at $12,300/ton.
Prices of all types of Vietnamese pepper remained stable compared to yesterday. Of which, the price of Vietnamese black pepper 500 gr/l reached 7,100 USD/ton; 550 gr/l reached 7,300 USD/ton.
Similarly, Vietnam's white pepper price remained unchanged from yesterday at USD 10,100/ton.
