World gold price this afternoon September 28, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 2:00 p.m. on September 28, Vietnam time, was 3,762.2 USD/ounce. This afternoon's gold price increased by 77.61 USD/ounce compared to last week. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,453 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 120 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of gold bars is 15 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Tim Waterer, an expert from KCM Trade, said that President Trump's announcement of new tariffs has made investors cautious. As a result, gold prices are supported and unlikely to fall sharply in the near future.
On the demand side, physical gold purchases in China slowed down this week. However, in many other Asian markets, buying activity continued steadily despite high gold prices, as investors expected prices to rise further.
A recent survey found that the majority of experts and investors are optimistic about the outlook for gold prices. Specifically, 84% of experts on Wall Street predict gold prices will rise next week, and none believe prices will fall. Among the retail investment community, about 63% of respondents also share a positive view, although the level of confidence is somewhat more cautious.
Analysts say the $3,800 an ounce price may be a temporary stop, but the main uptrend remains intact. Some more optimistic forecasts suggest that gold could even hit $4,000 if money continues to flow into the market.
