World gold price today September 28, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:00 a.m. on September 28, Vietnam time, was 3,762.2 USD/ounce. Today's gold price increased by 14.25 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,453 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 120 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Currently, the domestic gold price is about 15 million VND/tael higher than the world gold price.

The domestic gold price is approaching the record level of 135.8 million VND/tael. The main reason is that the world gold price has been continuously increasing, currently surpassing the 3750 USD/ounce mark and approaching 3800 USD/ounce.
A key factor in maintaining this upward momentum is the net buying of gold by central banks. Since the beginning of 2025, the total amount of gold purchased by global central banks has exceeded 900 tons, causing a sharp increase in demand, pushing up gold prices.
Gold prices are often sensitive to inflation and interest rates in the US. According to the latest report, inflation in the US has cooled. The core personal consumption expenditure (PCE) index increased 0.2% in August after increasing 0.3% in July. Over the past 12 months, the index remained at 2.95%, in line with economists' forecasts.
The US economic picture also contributed to the gold price increase. The GDP growth rate in the second quarter of 2025 was revised up to 3.8%, much higher than the previous estimates (3.0% and 3.3%). This adjustment was mainly due to a sharp increase in personal spending, reaching 2.5% compared to the previously announced 1.6%.
In addition, the US labor market also showed positive signs. The number of initial unemployment claims in the week ending September 20 fell to 218,000, down 14,000 from the previous week.
