Gold price recovers slightly

Compared to the previous session, SJC gold price increased by 180,000 VND/tael while world gold price increased to 1,337 USD/oz.

This morning (July 16), the price of SJC gold at Saigon Jewelry Company increased by 180,000 VND/tael compared to the end of the previous session. The buying and selling prices of gold are listed at 36.65 - 37.05 million VND/tael. The selling price of gold is 400,000 VND/tael higher than the buying price.

DOJI Group listed the gold price this morning at 36.65 million VND/tael (buy), 36.95 million VND (sell), up 200,000 VND/tael compared to the previous closing price. The difference between buying and selling gold prices is 300,000 VND/tael.

World gold prices reversed to increase at the end of the week related to information about the coup in Türkiye. Previously, gold prices were under pressure as investors' risk appetite increased and the USD strengthened after better-than-expected economic data from the US.

Meanwhile, European stocks fell after the attacks in France while US bond yields rose as positive economic data boosted the prospect of a Fed rate hike. Positive US economic data also increased speculation that the Fed will raise interest rates before the end of the year.

Currently, the spot gold price has recovered to increase to 1,337 USD/oz after falling to 1,327 USD/oz. The price of gold for August delivery has fallen to 1,327 USD/oz. According to today's exchange rate, the world gold price is equivalent to 35.21 million VND/tael, 840,000 VND/tael lower than the price of SJC gold./.
