According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was 2,510.86 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 4.61 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (25,290 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 77.41 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is 3.58 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

With the highest price reaching 78.6 million VND/tael, the gold ring market has generally returned to the previous record peak set on April 10, 2024. The gold ring market is expected to continue to increase in price due to the positive influence of world gold prices.
World gold prices increased slightly compared to last week, but the price converted to Vietnamese Dong decreased due to the decrease in USD/VND exchange rate. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell has signaled the possibility of cutting interest rates, but has not provided specific details.
The market is pricing in a September rate cut by the Fed, with odds of a 0.25% cut at 63.5% and a 0.5% cut at 36.5%. Powell's comments sent the dollar and Treasury yields lower, supporting gold prices.
The Dollar Index, which measures the greenback's strength against a basket of major currencies, fell 0.82% to 100.68. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note fell 6 basis points to 3.801%, and the 2-year note fell 10 basis points to 3.913%.
Gold price forecast
Gold prices have fallen from their all-time high above $2,530 an ounce, but still look bullish due to lower interest rates and a weaker US dollar.
Geopolitical tensions can cause major volatility in commodity markets. Central banks are buying more gold, while annual gold mine production is falling, which could lead to higher gold prices in the future.
