World gold price today October 5, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:00 a.m. on October 5, Vietnam time, was 3,884.78 USD/ounce. Today's gold price decreased by 1.54 USD/ounce compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,420 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 123.7 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the gold bar price is 14.9 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
The world gold price has been stuck at the threshold of 3,900 USD/ounce for two consecutive days, causing selling pressure to increase. However, many experts believe that the precious metal still has the potential to increase in the fourth quarter of 2025. The reason is that the demand for safe havens remains strong, while the world economic and political context continues to have many unpredictable fluctuations.
In parallel with international developments, domestic authorities are tightening gold trading activities. The Ministry of Finance and the State Bank have agreed to propose a tax on gold bar transactions. The proposed tax rate is 0.1% of the transfer value of each transaction.
Resolution 278 of the Government also requires these two agencies to conduct additional research and include income from gold trading activities in the personal income tax. The goal of the policy is to create a more transparent market and at the same time limit gold speculation that causes price fluctuations.
