Gold bar price near one-month low
After many consecutive sessions of decreasing following the world, each tael of gold bar is now only around 36.6 - 36.7 million VND per tael.
This morning, DOJI Group listed the buying and selling price of SJC gold bars at 36.64 - 36.73 million VND per tael. Compared to yesterday, this price decreased by 50,000 VND for buying and 30,000 VND for selling. At the beginning of this morning's session, the buying price was at 36.58 million VND, the lowest since March 29.
At Phu Nhuan Jewelry Company (PNJ), the price dropped by 100,000 VND per tael for buying and 180,000 VND per tael for selling. Currently, each tael is trading around 36.65 - 36.75 million VND.

On the world market, prices continued to decline yesterday, losing more than 11 USD to 1,324 USD per ounce. This is the lowest price in more than 2 weeks. The reason is that the dollar is getting stronger and the interest rate on 10-year US government bonds is also increasing, reducing the attractiveness of non-interest-bearing instruments such as gold.
In the Asian session this morning, the price of precious metals edged up slightly to 1,326 USD, equivalent to 36.45 million VND per tael (excluding taxes, fees, and processing). The difference with the domestic market is currently about 300,000 VND.
In the foreign exchange market, the central exchange rate announced by the State Bank this morning is 22,522 VND per USD, up 15 VND compared to yesterday. The buying and selling price of US dollars at Vietcombank is currently 22,735 - 22,805 VND.
