Gold prices rise, oil prices continue to be tense
Domestic gold price in the first morning of the week (February 27) increased slightly by 80,000 VND/tael compared to the end of last week: over 45 million VND/tael. World gold price traded in the Asian session this morning increased slightly by 0.20 USD/ounce.

In Hanoi, Thang Long Dragon Gold of Bao Tin Minh Chau Company was bought at 44.05 million VND/tael, sold at 44.3 million VND/tael. Agribank's 3-letter A gold bars were bought at 44.1 million VND/tael, sold at 44.5 million VND/tael. SJC gold traded in Hanoi was bought at 45.08 million VND/tael, sold at 45.19 million VND/tael.
Last weekend, the price of gold traded in the US market decreased slightly after four sessions of increase. Accordingly, the price of gold for delivery in April 2012 on the Comex floor decreased by 9.9 USD/ounce to 1,776.4 USD/ounce due to profit-taking actions of investors after a period of strong price increase.
However, in the Asian session this morning, the world gold price showed signs of reversing and increasing slightly by 0.20 USD to 1,773.80 USD/ounce in the context of crude oil prices continuing to increase for the seventh consecutive session and reaching the highest increase in nearly a year.
The price of crude oil for delivery in March 2012 in the US market increased by 1.94 USD/barrel (1.8%) to 109.77 USD/barrel, reaching the highest level since May 3, 2011. The price of Brent oil rose above 125 USD/barrel, reaching the highest level in nearly 10 months.
