Gasoline price today September 15, 2025: Oil price increased slightly
Oil prices today September 15: Oil prices rose slightly after a drone attack at a Russian port, but the market remained under pressure from weakening US demand.
World oil prices today
As of 4:00 a.m. on September 15, Brent crude oil prices increased by 62 cents, closing at 66.99 USD/barrel. US WTI crude oil also increased by 32 cents, reaching 62.69 USD/barrel.
The main cause was a drone attack on the port of Primorsk, Russia’s largest oil export terminal in the western region, which disrupted loading operations, an event that once again highlighted the risk of supply disruptions due to geopolitical tensions.

Despite the upward trend in oil prices, the gains were limited by negative signals from the US economy. The US Labor Department revised down its job growth figures for the past year to 911,000 jobs. Meanwhile, the consumer price index (CPI) rose 0.4% in August, the highest level since January, raising concerns about weakening energy demand.
Investors are closely watching the possibility of new US sanctions and tariffs to limit India and China's purchases of Russian crude.
Meanwhile, OPEC+ is still maintaining plans to increase production. In India, the Adani group has also banned sanctioned oil tankers, which could reduce the volume of Russian oil imported into the country.
According to experts, oil prices are currently being driven by two opposing factors: geopolitical risks that could disrupt supply and weakening global demand pressures. This delicate balance has investors remaining cautious in their transactions, waiting for clearer signals from both the energy market and macroeconomic policies.
