Gasoline prices today may increase sharply with the world

The world oil price today (August 1) tends to increase. The domestic oil price in the adjustment period this afternoon is forecast to increase sharply.

In the domestic market, according to the schedule, the selling prices of gasoline and oil will be applied according to the new price this afternoon (August 1). Leaders of some gasoline and oil companies said that because the world gasoline and oil prices and the imported gasoline prices have recently tended to increase, the domestic retail gasoline and oil prices in the management period this afternoon are likely to increase.

If the management agency does not influence the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund, gasoline prices may increase by 920-1,320 VND/liter. Meanwhile, oil prices are likely to increase by a lower level, from 510-1,020 VND/liter.

In case the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance draws from the Stabilization Fund, domestic retail gasoline prices this afternoon may increase more sharply.

In the most recent adjustment period (July 21), gasoline prices were also adjusted to increase sharply. Accordingly, the price of RON 95-III gasoline increased by VND1,300/liter, to VND22,790/liter; the price of E5 RON 92-II gasoline increased by VND1,220/liter, the selling price was VND21,630/liter. The price of diesel oil increased by VND890/liter, to VND19,500/liter. The price of kerosene increased by VND860/liter, to VND19,180/liter. Mazut oil increased by VND437/kg, the selling price was not higher than VND15,725/kg.

Gold price on August 1: SJC gold increased slightly to 67.25 million VND/tael

Gold price on August 1, SJC gold price increased slightly to 66.65 - 67.25 million VND/tael, at the same time world gold on Kitco floor listed at 1,958 USD/ounce.

Saigon Jewelry Company listed the gold buying price at 66.65 million VND/tael; the selling price was 67.25 million VND/tael, an increase of 50,000 VND/tael for both buying and selling compared to the opening of the trading session on the same day. The difference between the selling price and the buying price is currently at 600,000 VND/tael.

At the same time, DOJI Group listed the buying and selling price of gold at 66.55 - 67.25 million VND/tael. Compared to the opening of the trading session on July 31, the buying and selling price of gold at DOJI has not changed. The difference between the buying and selling price of gold at DOJI is maintained at 700,000 VND/tael.

At the end of the afternoon of July 31 (Vietnam time), the world gold price on Kitco floor was listed at 1,958 USD/ounce, down 0.2 USD/oz compared to the early morning of the same day. Converting the world gold price according to the foreign exchange rate at Vietcombank: 1 USD = 23,860 VND, the world gold price is equivalent to 56.28 million VND/tael. The selling price of SJC gold is currently 10.97 million VND/tael higher than the world gold price at the same time.

Rice price todayincreased by 500 VND/kg, export increased by 5 USD/ton

Today, August 1, the domestic rice price continues to increase sharply by 500 VND/kg. The export rice price also increased by 5 USD/ton.

Accordingly, at An Giang warehouse today, the price of IR 504 and OM 5451 rice decreased by 100 VND/kg to 6,600 - 6,800 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the price of Nang Hoa 9 rice increased by 100 VND/kg to 6,800 - 7,000 VND/kg.

Regarding rice, the price of raw rice and finished products continued to increase. Accordingly, IR 504 raw rice was at 11,150 - 11,250 VND/kg, an increase of 400 VND/kg. Finished rice was at 12,800 - 13,000 VND/kg, an increase of 400 - 500 VND/kg.

Regarding by-products, the price of by-products remained stable. Specifically, the price of IR 504 rice bran remained at 10,400 - 10,500 VND/kg, an increase of 100 VND/kg; the price of dry bran was at 7,600 VND/kg.

According to traders, the amount of rice arriving today is still low, the price of all kinds of rice has increased slightly. The summer-autumn rice market is bustling, the price continues to increase. The demand for rice consumption from businesses is high.

Although prices are high, it is reported that it is very difficult to buy rice. The reason is that most of the rice has been purchased by traders since the beginning of the season. Meanwhile, businesses have to collect goods to pay for previously signed orders at low prices. Some others do not have orders but perhaps do not want to sell because the price increases 2-3 times a day. This causes the price of rice to continuously increase.

In the rice export market, Vietnam's rice export price continued to increase by 5 USD/ton. Specifically, 5% broken rice was traded at 563 USD/ton, up 5 USD/ton; 25% broken rice was at 543 USD/ton, up 5 USD/ton.

Pepper priceincrease 1,000 VND/kg

Pepper prices today, August 1, in the domestic market increased sharply by 1,000 VND/kg. Accordingly, pepper prices in the Central Highlands provinces were purchased by traders at around 68,000 - 69,000 VND/kg.

In the Southeast region, pepper prices today also increased by 1,000 VND/kg. Currently, pepper prices in this region are being purchased around 70,000 - 71,500 VND/kg.

Accordingly, in Dong Nai, pepper price is at 70,000 VND/kg, up 1,000 VND/kg. Binh Phuoc pepper price is at 70,500 VND/kg, up 1,000 VND/kg. Ba Ria Vung Tau pepper price is still the highest and today is purchased by traders at 71,500 VND/kg, up 1,000 VND/kg.

Thus, pepper prices in the domestic market today regained their upward momentum. In key localities, pepper prices increased sharply by 1,000 VND/kg.

Statistics show that although exports continued to decline in the first half of July 2023, consumption from the Chinese market has not been optimistic. However, positive signals appeared at the end of July 2023 when agents started to increase purchases. In the world market, India's decision to ban the export of some food and agricultural products caused the country's pepper market to increase from mid-July 2023.
