Successfully rescued a child trapped in a 10 meter deep well.

After 9 hours of effort, rescue forces and professional diggers successfully rescued a girl trapped in a 10m deep well in Tan An hamlet, Tan Vinh Hiep commune, Tan Uyen town, Binh Duong province.

Accordingly, at around 1:30 a.m. on August 5, hundreds of local people watching the rescue cheered and clapped their hands in joy when the rescue team brought little girl Nguyen Tran Tu Anh (born 2008) out of the deep well, after being trapped below for 9 hours. Tu Anh was covered in mud but still conscious, and was immediately taken to the emergency room.

Rescue forces worked all night, racing against time to rescue a 7-year-old girl.

According to initial information, at around 4:30 pm on August 4, Tu Anh and some children were playing and running around near their house when they fell into a deep well. It is known that this is an industrial well with a depth of dozens of meters, a diameter of about 40cm, and had been under construction for about a month. Because Tu Anh has a small body, she fell down.

Upon receiving the news, the commune authorities immediately arrived at the scene and reported it to the town leaders. Initially, the leaders of Tan Uyen town requested the commune authorities to have a plan to protect the scene, bring oxygen and drinking water down the well for Tu Anh to wait for professional forces to come to the rescue.

More than 100 rescue officers and soldiers arrived at the scene. Many excavators and machines were mobilized to dig and create a necessary space around the scene to serve the rescue plan. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong - Chairman of Tan Uyen Town People's Committee was present and directly directed the rescue work.

Due to the area having light drizzle, the rescue plan was somewhat affected. The forces at the scene carefully and in detail planned how to prevent Tu Anh from falling further down, and also how to prevent dust and water from entering the well where Tu Anh was trapped.

Immediately after that, a long rope was put into the well for Tu Anh to hold on to, ensuring that she would not fall further down. The rescuers provided oxygen and drinking water while taking turns talking and encouraging Tu Anh.

The plan that was approved was that the rescue team would dig a hole parallel to the well where Tu Anh was trapped, so that when they reached the location where she was trapped, they could pass through and get her out. A team of local well diggers was mobilized to help. Each group of 3 people took turns digging.

Hearing the news of her son’s accident, Tu Anh’s mother fainted repeatedly, and relatives had to take care of her. According to many people, her father passed away 5 years ago in a traffic accident.

After 9 hours of being trapped, Tu Anh was successfully and safely rescued.

The digging of the rescue pit was carried out quite carefully because in the past few days there had been rains in the area, so the geological foundation was weak, easily leading to subsidence, endangering the life of Tu Anh who was trapped.
