(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 3, the 13th National Assembly delegates of the province, including comrades Tran Huu Tuat - Deputy Commander of Military Region IV, Le Thi Tam - Provincial Party Committee member, President of the Provincial Women's Union, had a meeting to pay respect to Vinh City Veterans.
At the Conference, on behalf of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, comrade Tran Huu Tuat reported to voters the contents of the 8th session of the 13th National Assembly.

Reflecting his thoughts and aspirations to the National Assembly Deputies, Vinh City Veterans expressed their trust in the leadership of the Party and the State, and the issues of concern to voters that were raised for questioning and discussed by the National Assembly. Vinh City Veterans suggested: In implementing the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces, the Law mentions that each block and hamlet establishes a militia squad, with a village captain, however, many blocks and hamlets in the city do not have a militia squad because they do not have enough forces to establish one. Propose that the Ministry of National Defense and Military Regions direct the unification of lower-level military agencies. Housing support policies according to Decree 22 of the Government should be implemented soon throughout the province. Voters are concerned that many veterans are too slow in completing procedures to resolve Agent Orange policies and have many shortcomings. Propose that the authorities need to have unified regulations, creating conditions for those infected with Agent Orange to enjoy preferential policies from the state. Regarding the implementation of the reward system, many veteran opinions said that the addition and exchange of some Resistance Medals and National Defense Medals were too slow; the National Assembly needs to have strict regulations to limit the situation of foreigners buying houses in Vietnam. |

Vinh City's CCB reflected that the majority of the city's people agree with the policy of urban construction, investment in infrastructure construction of the province, resettlement of areas A, B, C Quang Trung, however, it is necessary to unify the planning policy to ensure synchronization, civilization, avoid imbalance between the 3 areas, affecting the general urban beauty. There are regulations requiring investors when implementing projects to discuss and agree directly with the people about the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of both parties. The implementation of Decision 14 of the Provincial People's Committee, which is related to the issue of reducing a number of positions in the People's Committee to assign some civil servants to hold concurrent positions, has led to difficulties in completing the tasks of civil servants. It is recommended that the Provincial People's Committee study, adjust and supplement regulations appropriately, creating favorable conditions for the grassroots.

Receiving and explaining the issues of concern to voters, the National Assembly deputies hoped that the war veterans would be an important force making great contributions to the process of building and protecting the Fatherland, and that the war veterans would continue to promote the revolutionary tradition, and together with their descendants, contribute to the cause of building the homeland and the country. The recommendations of the war veterans of Vinh City will be compiled by the National Assembly Delegation of the province and sent to relevant agencies, departments and branches for consideration, resolution and submission to the next National Assembly session.
