Dissolve many journalist associations that do not comply with regulations

In 2014, the Vietnam Journalists Association reviewed the organization structure of the Association and decided to dissolve 25 branches of small associations that did not comply with the regulations of the charter.

On December 5, the 6th Conference of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Journalists Association, 9th tenure, was held in Hanoi, evaluating the results of work in 2014, setting out directions and tasks for 2015 and preparing for the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Journalists Association, term 2015-2020.

At this conference, the Vietnam Journalists Association set out the general tasks for the whole year 2015: to continue promoting the activities and work of the Association in accordance with its functions and tasks; to pay attention to educating and improving social responsibility, civic duty, professional ethics of journalists and the work of building the Association.

The Central Committee will strengthen the inspection, management and supervision of the activities of the Association at all levels to ensure that the Association is a unified system, fulfilling well the functions and tasks of a political, social and professional organization.

In addition, the Vietnam Journalists Association actively directed all levels of the Association to organize the term Congress, well prepare the content and personnel towards the 10th Congress of the Vietnam Journalists Association for the 2015-2020 term.

In 2015, the Vietnam Journalists Association will organize many major activities. It is expected that from February 4-7, the Vietnam Journalists Association will coordinate with a number of departments, ministries, branches and localities to organize the 2015 At Mui Spring Press Festival with the theme "Celebrating the Party, celebrating Spring, celebrating the new opportunities of the country."

Then, in April 2015, the Association organized the 54th anniversary of the Vietnam Journalists Association, along with 3 exhibitions and seminars: "Uncle Ho with the press," "The Journalists Association through the ages," an international seminar, and a photo exhibition "War Journalists" towards the 40th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification. In June 2015, the Vietnam Journalists Association solemnly organized the 90th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day and presented the National Press Awards...
